ASIAN COUNTRIES IMPROVE CONNECTION SPEEDS DESPITE GLOBAL DECLINE


    As per the latest ‘State of Internet’ report by Akamai, an enterprise cloud platform provider, Asia has the fastest Internet speeds in the world. It gives a indication that it is  in the high risk of cyber attack.

The average speed, average peak connection speed and broadband adoption as well as cyber attach traffic is been provided in the report.South korea is having top speed of 14.7 Mbps. It was further followed by Japan with 10.7 bps and Hongkong with 8.9 Mbps.


In other side of the country if we see, United state fits into the speed of 7.2 Mbps and average peak speed of 29.6Mbps. UK, the average connection speed was found o be 6.3 Mbps and the average is 28.1 Mbps. Now, definetily you want to see the statistics of India, you shouldn’t be surprised to know that India does not boast of great connection speed.The average global speed is 2.8Mbps and 15.9 Mbps is the average peak connection speed.



This report also gives the data for mobile connectivity. I 2012 the average connection speeds range from a up of 7.8Mbps and a down of 324Kbps, whereas the average connection speed range is fom 39.2Mbps to down side of 2.8Mbps

The report also provided data on the cyber attack traffic, which turned to be in sync with the connection speeds. As per the report, the countries with higher Internet speeds were the ones from where most of the cyber attacks originated. China attributed to 33 percent of all the attack traffic monitored in 2012.
